Vacant position: IT Lawyer at the Swedish Agency for Gender Equality
The goal of gender equality work in Sweden is for women and men to have the same power and opportunities to shape society and their own lives. The work includes issues of influence, economy, health, education, work, and bodily integrity.
The Swedish Agency for Gender Equality is responsible for ensuring that the government's gender equality policy has an impact by contributing to the effective implementation of gender equality policy. The agency's task is to coordinate, follow up, and support in various ways within the areas of gender equality. The Swedish Agency for Gender Equality is an LGBTQI-strategic agency, which means that the agency in its operations should promote LGBTQI persons' equal rights and opportunities.
Within the Department of Business Support, we are responsible for all processes of an administrative and business-oriented nature at the agency. This includes, among other things, finance, business monitoring, HR, legal affairs, procurement, registry, IT, grants, and other administrative processes. The department is divided into four units: the Legal Unit, the Finance Unit, the HR Unit, and the Grants Unit.
We are now looking for an IT Lawyer to join the Legal Unit.
Job Responsibilities
As an IT Lawyer at the Swedish Agency for Gender Equality, you will work on the agency's IT legal and administrative law issues. You will work under the chief legal officer to provide legal support to the agency's employees and managers.
The work includes, among other things, IT and information security issues, GDPR, artificial intelligence (AI), support in procurements, and other administrative law issues. You will also develop and quality-assure various types of documents, such as agency decisions, policy documents, internal procedures, consultation responses, and other opinions. You will also participate in development projects and internal training within the agency.
Qualifications
- Law degree.
- Experience in qualified legal work within a government agency or other public entity.
- Experience working in IT law and GDPR.
- Experience in systematic information security work.
- Excellent command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
We consider it a plus if you have:
- Experience working with data and information systems.
- Experience working with artificial intelligence (AI).
- Knowledge of the agency's subject matter.
- Experience in consultation work.

Employment Information: The position is a permanent full-time position. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Entry by agreement. The position will be located at the Swedish Agency for Gender Equality's office in central Gothenburg. Travel for work may occur.
